Renee R. Gregory is counsel in Willkie Farr & Gallagher’s Communications & Media Department.  Renee is an experienced leader in solving complex problems at the intersection of business, technology, policy, politics and the law.  She has a particular focus on the convergence of technology, telecommunications, and next-generation transportation, including connected and self-driving vehicles.  Renee has deep knowledge of wireless communications, and also is conversant in issues including, but not limited to, connectivity; cybersecurity; privacy; competition policy; intellectual property; and automation, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.  She has regularly interacted with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), Department of Transportation, and Congress, in addition to other federal agencies.
 
Prior to joining Willkie in 2017, Renee served as a Senior Policy Advisor at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP), Office of the Chief Technology Officer.  Renee was also previously a Senior Advisor at NTIA, and a Legal Advisor to FCC Chairmen Julius Genachowski and Tom Wheeler. Before her government service, Renee advised a range of technology and telecommunications clients at a boutique communications law firm and a large international law firm.
